Clairol Professional is kicking off its “True Color from the Heart” contest this month in honor of February’s American Heart Month and the company’s support of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women heart disease awareness campaign. As part of the contest, which ends April 8, colorists are encouraged to make over one of their clients by recreating one of the looks created by celebrity colorists Jennifer J. and Rona O’Connor (shown above). Jennifer achieved a brilliant, Hollywood-glam blonde with very golden highlights, while Rona used blonding to add dimension to her brunette and balanced her revved-up redhead with blonde roots for a multifaceted color.
The winner’s technique will be featured on clairolpro.com, and he or she will receive a trip for two to Premiere Orlando, including travel, accommodations, a $500 American Express gift card, and dinner with Danny Lapointe and Anita Gutierrez, Clairol Professional artistic director and lead color master, respectively.
Go Red for Women also wins with this contest: Clairol Professional will be donating 20 cents for each purchase of one of their products with the Go Red for Women logo, including the top 24 shades from Miss Clairol, the top 10 shades from Clairol Professional Premium Creme and the top 10 shades from the Second Nature collection.
