Lead Pureology Artists including Wendy Belanger (stylist for American Salon’s June cover) and Mary Catherine Hecht sharpened their editorial styling skills at Tearsheet’s Session Styling Course in New York City this past weekend, August 8-10, 2009. Tearsheet is a company started by sought-after editorial stylist Giovanni Giuntoli (see page 96 in American Salon‘s August 2009 issue for some of his runway bridal looks) that offers stylists hands-on courses in session styling by recreating actual photo shoots. Renowned industry giants helped the artists perfect their on-set hairstyling skills with one-on-one instruction from photographer James Weber, Makeup artist Moani Lee, hairstylist Nate Rosenkranz, fashion stylist Wade Blackmon and Tearsheet Creative Director Giuntoli. We can’t wait to see the results their beautifully photographed hair and what comes down the pipeline from them as far as on-set session work!
