At Carolina Herrera’s Lincoln Center show, which featured a Korean-inspired collection, Orlando Pita for Moroccanoil created two different looks that incorporated handmade barrettes covered with hair that coordinated with the models’ own hair color. To get the look, Pita first blow-dried the hair using Moroccanoil Light and Hydrating Styling Cream. He then created a deep side part, pulled the hair back, and strategically placed the barrettes either horizontally on long hair or in a cluster on low chignons. Luminous Hairspray held the looks in place with a touch of Glimmer Shine Spray added brilliant shine.
For the makeup look, lead makeup artist for M.A.C Diane Kendal created a dramatic red smoky eye using a lip pencil, eye shadow and a touch of lipstick on the outer edge of the lid. A bit of peach blush on cheeks and a nude lip color completed the look.
Wanda Ruiz, lead nail tech for CND, gave nails a coat of Scarlet Shimmer Effect, a pink holographic shade, for an elegant veil of sheer color.
