Backstage at The Stage at Lincoln Center, Jon Reyman for Aveda gave long hair an effortless-looking, natural treatment at Charlotte Ronson. First, he prepped strands with Pure Abundance Style Prep and Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray and parted the hair in the middle. Next, he wrapped sections around his fingers before removing his fingers and pressing the sections with a flat iron to create a slight wavy bend in the hair. After completing the process he simply let the hair fall naturally.
To create the ocean-inspired nail look, Simcha Whitehill for Color Club applied three different color vertical stripes of polish to the nail using the edge of a makeup sponge to achieve texture: the teal Gossip Column; pastel blue Take Me to Your Chateau; and pale turquoise Seaside Surf, created specifically for the show. Gilbert Soliz, lead makeup artist for Sephora, was also inspired by the beauty of the ocean to create the look that featured a deconstructed caramel eye, bold brows and shimmering nude lips.
