Jon Reyman for Aveda backstage at Nahm
Nahm’s fall 2012 collection drew inspiration from the divine fashion elegance of legendary icon, Diana Vreeland. Inspired by 1920s sophistication and simplicity, Jon Reyman, lead stylist for Aveda, created a look of bold simplicity for the presentation-style show.
To get the look, Reyman prepped roots with Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother to make the hair moldable and smooth before blow-drying it straight. Looking to create some volume before tucking side sections under the thick curl, he applied Volumizing Tonic throughout hair. First smoothing hair out with a bristle brush, he then gently curled hair back with a 1 ¼-inch iron. Before and after securing the curl with pins, Reyman spritzed the style with Control Force Firm Hold Hairspray. —M.R.
