For the Los Angeles premiere of “Wolfman,” Emily Blunt sported a 1920s updo with a modern twist, created by stylist Laini Reeves, owner and creative director of Essensuals London. Inspired by Blunt’s vintage style, Reeves attached a peacock feather to an elastic headband for the perfect flapper accessory.
To create a similar look, Reeves suggests applying Shu Uemura Essence Absolue before blow drying to make hair extra smooth and glossy. Create a natural wave and boost texture by gently scrunching the dry hair, and then secure the headband by twisting hair up and over around the band. Style a messy bun at the nape of the neck and, for a more modern and soft look, loosen a few strands. Finish with a light holding spray.
