We are so sad to learn of the passing of Stuart Gavert, a renowned colorist and co-owner of Gavert Atelier in Beverly Hills, CA. Gavert, a 30-year industry veteran, was only 54 at the time of his sudden death on June 14.
Over the years, the editors at American Salon frequently called upon Gavert as an expert source for articles on everything from color to hair treatments. Amongst his many high-profile clients were Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Our thoughts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.
My heart is broken. Stuart was a brilliant, fearless and loving artist and man. I will miss his wit and generousity. His mark will always be deeply felt and appreciated.
The industry has lost a bright light all my love to his family friends and salon .
