“For Amy Poehler, I start with deep conditioned hair. I put a lot of stress and heat on the hair daily so deep conditioning is essential,” says Owen. “Then, I prep with a styling spray. I use White Sands Liquid Texture Thermal Styling Spray Soft Hold when I need the waves and curls to stand up to long shooting days on set. I use a large barrel Marcel curling iron to make soft waves, just by wrapping the hair around each section and spraying with more White Sands Liquid Texture. I finish with a very light, light mist of finishing spray so her waves have movement.”

Rashida Jones as Ann Perkins

“For Rashida Jones, I prep with a heat protectant, which is a must for color treated hair. Then, I set her hair on a 1¾-inch ceramic curling iron. Before I set each section, I spray (on dry hair) some White Sands Liquid Texture Thermal Styling Spray Soft Hold.  Then I style with finishing cream by Rahua,” says Owen.

“Rob has a short, choppy, naughty schoolboy cut that I blow out just with my fingers,” explains Owen. “I prep the hair with White Sands Liquid Texture Thermal Styling Spray Firm Hold. It’s great for baby fine and straight hair since it gives texture and hold that stands up to hot lighting conditions on set. I then put on a texturizing cream for a messy look. I use Sally Hershberger Wreck & Roll Texturizing Cream.”

1. Dry hair with Oribe Royal Blowout.
2. Apply Dry at the roots for lift, then loosely pull hair back into a ponytail and secure.
3. Spray Soft Lacquer onto sections of the ponytail and curl with a large-barrel iron. Brush out. “Having some wave softens the ponytail,” says Oribe. “The Soft Lacquer provides hold and shine—I always use it when I’m working with a curling iron.”
4. Finish with Shine to add a little red carpet luster.

Munn was on the opposite coast to attend the BAFTA Los Angeles 2012 Britannia Awards in Beverly Hills. Celebrity Stylist Kristen Shaw did Munn’s hair and stated that a low Spanish bun was her inspiration for the style. Below, Shaw explains how to recreate Munn’s chic updo:

1. Work Supershine into the ends of the hair and spray Maximista into the roots to create soft, full texture when blown dry.
2. Wrap sections of hair from mid-shafts to ends around a 1-inch curling iron, going away from the face. Brush through the curls.
3. Rake Crème for Style through the hair and loosely pin 1-inch sections of hair in the shape of a bun so they fall in a soft, textured way.
4. Finish with Superfine to hold hair in place throughout the evening.

1. I wanted to start off by sealing her cuticle and adding lightweight shine, so I used Hair Sheet Styling and Tame It Shine Lotion on the ends.
2. Then, I blew her hair dry using a large round brush to impart fullness.
3. I then took pieces and twisted them to the entire head and added a silver barrette.
4. I followed up with Beautiful Hold Hairspray–a staple product that works on straight, waved or curly hair. The final effect? An ethereal half-up half-down ‘do that gave Ashley’s hair a royal look.

Nikki Reed was in Los Angeles to attend the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 (2012)—the fifth and possibly final installment of the series. Wella Professionals’ Mara Roszak, who has styled Reed’s hair for each premiere, gave the actress a low, structured bun to complement the actress’ natural beauty and gray Versace gown. Below, Roszak shares her secrets for getting her clean and elegant look:

1.    Start by applying a couple pumps of Wella Professionals Flowing Form to damp hair and brush through.
2. Part hair using a rat tail comb, and blow out with a boar bristle round brush.
3. To tame any flyaways, apply a dime sized amount of Wella Professionals Smooth Brilliance by rubbing into the palms of your hands and through hair, starting at the ends and working your way up to the roots.
4. Pull hair tight to the nape of neck and secure it with a bungee elastic band.
5. Holding the pony, loop hair under the elastic to create a small bun and secure with bobby pins.
6. Take the rest of hair and wrap it around the elastic.
7. To finish the look, lightly spray Wella Professionals Shimmer Delight to add extra shine and then mist all over with Wella Stay Essential Finishing Spray.

Celebrity Stylist Oribe fashioned the bombshell’s platinum hair in soft, voluminous waves reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe. Below, he shares his secrets for achieving the look:

1. Prep hair with Oribe Supershine Light Moisturizing Cream and power dry.
2. Do a traditional set using Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray and a 1-inch curling iron.
3. Brush out curls.
4. Add Dry Texturizing Spray at the root for fullness.

Step 1: Distribute Design Pulse Thermo Glide Express Blowout Crème throughout hair and blow dry.

Step 2: Apply Design Pulse Iron In Thermal Styling Mist to dry hair and curl hair with a large-rounded barrel curling iron.

Step 3: Brush hair over to the left side and separate hair into three pieces.

Step 4: Starting from under the ear on the ride side, French braid hair down over the left shoulder.

Step 5: Finish and smooth out flyaways with Biolage ExquisiteOil Replenishing Treatment.

1. I started off with wet hair using Ted Gibson Build It Blowdrying Agent all over her entire head with Fix It Gel for volume and shiny hair.
2. I used a flat brush for smoothing.
3. Then, I curled her hair using a medium-sized iron on 2-inch sections all over her entire head. The key is leaving the ends out so that you have a natural downtown finish and texture that all girls love.

For Max’s style:

1. Apply a curl enhancing medium hold mousse to damp hair at roots and work through to ends – diffusing without a product can create frizz.

2. Divide hair into sections and spray on White Sands Liquid Texture Firm Hold Thermal Styling Spray focusing first on the bottom layers. As you style, you will work up by section until finally reaching the top of the head.

3. Take a one-inch section and begin to curl by placing the iron 3-5 inches away from the scalp. Roll iron under and towards scalp – most of hair will be hanging out of curling iron when you begin this step. Tip: Alternate the direction of the curl as you work your way through each section.

4. Shake out hair and separate with fingers, applying a small amount of White  Sands Orchids Oil to finish.

For Caroline’s style:

1. A good styling product is key to the perfect blowout, White Sands Liquid Texture Soft Hold Thermal Styling Spray is a must. Divide combed hair into sections and secure with clips or ponytail holders. Tip: Securing one portion above the other helps manage the blowout. Leave out a section to start with.

2. Dry using a paddle or large Mason Pearson brush. Tip: Stretch the hair as you dry. It sounds crazy, but when you’re done, the tips won’t flip.

3. When hair is completely dry, apply a small amount of White Sands Orchids Oil to the ends.

4. Finish with a light spray of White Sands Infinity Hairspray. —Brianna Keefe
