“We know that salons are filled with talented beauty service providers,” said CC President Joseph Cartagena. “Many of our professional peers harbor performance skills as well. Because CC is totally dedicated to the advancement of careers, we want to give these performers a showcase that may even propel them to stardom.”

A committee of salon and entertainment experts will choose up to five performers, who will be invited to exhibit their talents on the runway of the ABS BeautyBASH on March 9.

Come January, the U.S. winner partakes in the final, international competition being held in Los Angeles. He or she will also earn a one-year stylist contract with Wilhelmina Denver’s W Artists division.

Face Off aims to find the world’s best men’s hairstylist by pitting representatives from each participating country against each other. Judges look for a style that embodies the American Crew brand: classic, masculine and authentic. In L.A., the global finalists will participate in a full photo shoot showcasing their look. The ultimate winner—the Global Face Off Champion—will receive a spread in American Crew’s 2013 Style Selector book, backstage access to the 2013 global American Crew show in Europe, a full set of American Crew Men’s Corner furniture for his or her salon and peer recognition when the winning look is revealed at the awards dinner.
