Bella Bethesda Salon Holds Hair Show to Support Women’s Shelter

Bella Bethesda Salon in Bethesda, MD, hosted a New York City-style runway show on November 11 called Hair & Now to demonstrate how hairstyles from past eras influence many of the looks created today, as well as to support N Street Village, a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., that offers services and an empowering community for homeless and low-income women. The show exhibited more than 40 hair looks from various iconic epochs, starting with the roaring ’20s up to the 21^st century, created by Bella Bethesda’s team of stylists. Redken artist and show choreographer Brent Borreson assisted with hair demonstrations at the event, which featured a slew of models strutting down the catwalk showing off ’dos like the sleek flapper crops from the 1920s; pin-up styles from the ’40s; loose, long waves of the ’60s; and Mohawks from the ’80s.
