Wendy Watkins Words of Wisdom: 2010-Here We Grow Again!

wendywatkins 150x150 Wendy Watkins Words of Wisdom: 2010 Here We Grow Again! How many times have you said, “Happy New Year?” What does that really mean? At first glance, it is a wish celebrating the start of a new year. As I ponder this sentiment a couple of weeks into the year, I wonder, what will make this New Year happy?

I answer this from two perspectives and invite you to do the same. As a small business owner, a happy New Year means staying focused and excited about running my business, attracting perfect clients and adding value to their lives. When you look at your business, where do you focus to create a happy New Year? If you already know that, bravo! If you are not clear, take some time and reflect on 2009. What systems worked for you? Which ones did not? If you want different results this year, take what worked for you last year and magnify it for 2010.  The best thing I did in 2009 was to focus on what is most important for PassionFruit. Every product and service I offer is in alignment with that focus. That focus prevails and I love the results I am experiencing by simplifying, one of them being the release of my new book this year, a product of focus.

The second perspective to look at a happy New Year through is your personal life. What do you want to do for yourself to make 2010 a happy New Year? Is it the year to learn something new, increase your self-care, take a trip or stay home? I invite you to look at what worked and what did not work for you in your personal life in 2009 and adjust accordingly.
As a leader in your business and your life, it is important to take care of yourself. When you do, you can take better care of your business while truly enjoying the journey. That is what life is all about!

Take these three words, “happy New Year,” and make them reality—you can do it.
