A Taste of Om Aroma Co.’s Mini Facial

By Contributor | Jul 12, 2010
om aroma official photo A Taste of Om Aroma Co.’s Mini Facial

Om Aroma Co.'s 3 step facial.

Sunday I had the opportunity to try Om Aroma Co.’s Champagne Face Fix and Chardonnay Hand Fix at their lovely Beauty Bar in Limelight Marketplace in Manhattan. After the record-setting heat wave in the city, this quick organic facial was exactly the detox my skin craved.

My aesthetician started by gently cleansing with the Elixir de Beauté, containing crushed champagne grape seeds and powdered mother of pearls, to exfoliate and rejuvenate skin without drying. Next, she misted my face with Aromatonique, an alcohol-free toning mist with lavender, chamomile and honeysuckle. My face felt a refreshing tingle before she moisturized with Crème Luxe, which boasts an unprecedented combination of seven vitamins and minerals plus white truffle extract for luminous skin and red raspberry oil for natural sun protection. The cherry-on-top to complete the facial is the Extrait de Caviar, a delicate eye cream fortified with botanical extracts, CoQ-10 and caviar. In just five minutes my revived skin looked more even and felt soft and hydrated.

Founder and CEO of Om Aroma & Co. Angela Jia Kim started the line in her kitchen sink to create an effective alternative to beauty products filled with chemicals. Two years later her luxury all organic and paraben- and sulfate-free products are a great add-on treatment for clients as they wait or to take home for an all-natural anti-aging, beauty routine. If you happen to find yourself in NYC July 18th or 25th, stop by the Om Aroma Beauty Bar (Limelight Marketplace at 6th Ave. & 20th St.) to experience the mini-facial and massage between 1:00pm and 6:00pm—the services are complimentary with a $20 purchase.

To help salons promote the new Redken age-defying products, Color Fusion and Time Reset, Redken will launch a special Web page on redken.com with discounts and salon promotions for consumers in August and September. This is an opportunity for salon owners to take part in Redken’s campaign to reach 50 million consumers through partnerships with Google, Yahoo, Facebook, VH1 and more. In order to participate and get listed on the page, salons must carry the products and activate the promotion through their Redken account online from April 1 to July 31. Salons can choose from any of the five offers posted on the site, for example, customers can receive a free Time Reset age-defying service with a $25 minimum purchase on Time Reset products, and Redken will promote the salon to consumers. How is the movie titled “Your Life” playing out? You are the director, producer and have the starring role. Is it a comedy, a drama or a horror film?

Let’s look at how to create a successful “film.” What would you title the film about your life? Is it Slumdog Millionaire, Life is Beautiful, or Almost Famous? Once you decide what your theme or focus is, you can then it break down scene by scene, which represent the intentions you want to create. What are the qualities of the star? (That’s you!) Who are your supporting cast members? (Your staff!) In your business, this is a helpful mindset. What is it you would like to accomplish?

Having all of this script in place will set you up for success. Putting your focus and attention on what you want allows you to create a plan to support that attraction. Partner it with the right perspective and a bit of joy, and you are on your way to the red carpet!

At PassionFruit, we believe that you can consciously create a life that you love. Join us on March 30 at noon EST for the FREE teleclass How to Use the Joy Factor to Build Your Business. Go to www.passionfruitpeople.com/as to sign up. You will receive the call in information when you sign up as well as a recording of the 7 Biggest Challenges That Salon Owners Deal With and How to Overcome Them as a gift from us just for participating. And look for monthly contributions here from Wendy and PassionFruit on the third Monday of each month!
