This past Sunday, Matthew Phillips Aveda Concept Salon and Per-se Aveda Lifestyle Salonspa in West Hartford, CT, held their 11th annual Breast Cancer Cut-A-Thon. Stylists from both salons offered haircuts at reduced rates. There was also a silent auction and a prize raffle. All proceeds went towards the Helen & Harry Gray Cancer Center-Avon for Breast Cancer Research at Hartford Hospital.
To date, the Matthew Phillips Breast Cancer Cut-A-Thon has raised over $150,000.
